The International Conference on Culture and Computer Science brings together researchers, practitioners, curators and technologists working at the intersection of cultural heritage and computing. For three days, a single-track program creates room for sustained discussion rather than parallel sessions.
The XXIV Conference on Culture and Computer Science is hosted by the German International University (GIU) in Cairo, in the New Administrative Capital. It is the first edition of the conference held in Egypt, and the program is shaped around the region's museums, archives and digital humanities practice.
Alongside peer-reviewed full and short papers, the program includes two keynotes, a demo session with posters and demonstrations of best practice examples, a doctoral consortium, and a curated evening program at partner institutions in Cairo. We intend to publish the proceedings in a Scopus-indexed digital library.
A limited number of grants covering travel, accommodation and part of the registration fee are available for early-career academics from the MENA region. Applications close 18 June 2027.

Every accepted paper requires at least one full registration. Fees include all sessions, lunches, the welcome reception and the conference dinner.
Early registration closes 15 July 2027. Author registration for camera-ready papers closes 30 July 2027.

Sessions run on the GIU campus in the New Administrative Capital. Part of the program moves across the city to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.

All paper sessions take place in the Building C auditorium, with posters and best-practice demonstrations in the adjacent atrium and the doctoral consortium in seminar rooms C2.14–C2.16. Registration opens at 08:30 in the Building C foyer.

Giza, Greater Cairo
The largest museum devoted to a single civilisation — and a working case study for much of the conference program: large-scale digitisation, mixed-reality interpretation, collections management and visitor experience at national scale.
Cairo International Airport is roughly 50 minutes by car from campus and about an hour from Giza. Pre-booked transfers can be arranged through the conference hotels.
Reduced rates are held at three hotels in the New Administrative Capital and New Cairo until 1 August 2027. Booking codes are sent with registration confirmation.

Submissions
All submissions are double-blind peer reviewed and must use the ACM primary article template. We intend to publish the proceedings in a Scopus-indexed digital library.
